How it works

  1. 1

    Press start

The stopwatch begins counting up in minutes, seconds and hundredths.

  2. 2

    Record laps

Tap lap to mark a split without stopping the clock. Each lap shows its own time and the running total.

  3. 3

    Stop and review

Stop to freeze the time, then read your laps. The fastest and slowest are flagged automatically.

Frequently asked questions

How precise is the stopwatch?
It shows hundredths of a second and measures elapsed time from a high-resolution clock, so the reading is accurate. Human reaction time on the start and stop buttons is usually the larger factor over short intervals.
What do the lap times mean?
Each lap records two things: the split, which is how long that individual lap took, and the total, which is the cumulative time since you started. The fastest split is marked as your best and the slowest is flagged, so trends are easy to spot.
Does it keep timing if I switch tabs?
Yes. Elapsed time is calculated from the start moment rather than a tick that could pause, so switching away and back shows the correct time. Reset clears the clock and all laps.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once the page has loaded it keeps running with no connection, because the whole tool runs in your browser. You can install it to your home screen and open it like an app.
Do I need an account, and is anything tracked?
No account and no sign-up. The tool runs on your own device, so there is nothing to log in to and your settings stay on your machine. No popups, no clutter.
